While Sunday was set aside to celebrate mothers, one mother was devoid of any merrymaking as her search continues to find her first-born.
In the meantime, police in Grand Bahama are echoing their call for anyone who may know something about the disappearance or whereabouts of 20-year-old Krishanna Higgs to come forward.
Her mother, Krysta Fox, who lives in New Providence, said the mother of two went missing back in March when she left her home in Nassau and came to Grand Bahama with her three-year-old daughter on January 12.
She was expected back home the following week and her mother hasn’t seen or heard from her since.
In fact, Fox said she received an initial text message from Krishanna’s phone shortly after she left home saying that the cellular phone wasn’t working and she would call her when she got another one.
The next time she got a text, Fox said, it was an unusual one but she didn’t think her daughter was the author of that text.
