Michael Moss New Director At AML Foods

AML Foods Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Moss, to the position of Director, effective January 16, 2013.

“A significant portion of our business is generated in the Freeport market and the Board of Directors believe it is prudent to have a director who is based there, to offer advice and provide local level insight on the market place”, says Mr. Dionisio D’Aguilar, Chairman of AML, in announcing Mr. Moss’s appointment. “Michael is an outstanding Bahamian businessman with vast experience in operations and management and we are delighted that he has agreed to join our board as a Director. We look forward to his expertise which will undoubtedly bring significant added value to our board and businesses in Freeport”.

Mr. Moss holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer with the Council of Engineering Institutions (U.K.). He is a former Chief Generation Engineer with the Bahamas Electricity Corporation and General Manager for the Grand Bahama Power Company. His capabilities earned international recognition when he was appointed Chief Technical Officer of the Jamaica Public Service Company. In this role, which he held from 2002-2006, he provided technical direction to the company which services more than five hundred thousand customers. In 2006 Mr. Moss formed MMA Consulting, a company that specializes in energy, engineering and management consultancy. Mr. Moss has also served as the Executive Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Electricity Corporation.

In accepting his appointment, Mr. Moss says, “AML Foods has excelled in expanding and delivering first class products and services to the island of Grand Bahama, despite a struggling economy. This speaks to the Company’s abilities and future direction, and as a resident of Grand Bahama, I applaud them for their confidence in our local economy. I am looking forward to working with the team to continue to enhance the company’s growth and performance, for the benefit of all customers, shareholders, staff as well as the community”.
