French Bastille Day Celebrations

The Alliance Française des Bahamas celebrates the Bastille Day celebrations every year with an evening of fine dining. Bastille Day is the French national holiday.

This year, the official event will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 6:30pm at the Balmoral Club on Sanford Drive.

The Honorary French Consul, Mr. Dominique Lefevre will give a short, traditional speech followed by the singing of the French national anthem.

The event includes a silent auction to raise funds for the Alliance’s cultural programme and events.  Door prizes and surprises have become an integrated part of the annual event.

French music, traditional and new will set the ambiance for the evening. Paris is the theme, and guests will be seated at tables named after famous Parisian streets and avenues. Patrons are asked to dress casually but elegantly for a soirée in Paris. The event  was made possible thanks to the generosity of  Société Générale Private Banking, Crédit Agricole Suisse (Bahamas) Ltd. , the Balmoral Club, and the French brands Barton & Guestier and Grand Marnier who will supply the wine and liqueurs for the evening.

The Alliance Française would like to thank all persons for supporting its efforts to promote the French language and culture in The Bahamas year after year. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
