An argument between several men led to the country’s 43rd murder of the year early yesterday morning.
The killing brings the murder count for the year to within seven of the 50 murders in 2003.
A friend of the victim said the shooting happened in the lot next to his house. He said the victim was no more than 15 feet away from his front door.
The resident said he was at home around 1am when he heard about seven shots from what sounded like a shotgun.
The resident said that when the shots stopped he came outside to find the lot deserted and the victim lying prostrate on the ground.
