A 24-year-old Gambier resident appeared in court Tuesday accused of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a two-year-old child.
Chet Antonio Hanna of Douglas Road appeared before Magistrate Susan Sylvester where he was informed that he allegedly committed the act on July 27.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $5,000. The case was adjourned to continue on December 1.
Possession of forged documents
Haitian national Claudine Francisque, 19, appeared in the same court and pleaded guilty to possessing on July 29 an Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas Visa # No. 302-105-E6F in her name.
She also uttered the fake document on the same date.
On each count the court ordered her to pay a fine of $2,000 or face six months jail time. Each sentence will run concurrently.
Another Haitian national, Benson Bonhomme, also known as Patrick Jean, 22, was accused of two counts of possessing forged documents.
The Sixth Street the Grove resident admitted to possessing a Bahamas Certificate of Identity and a Bahamian driver’s licence on July 29 in the name of Patrick Jean.
On the first count he was ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 or in default serve one year in prison.
As for count two the court ordered that he pay a fine of $2,000 or spend six months in jail.
Both sentences will run concurrently.
oFrged documents and currency
Donovan Bernard Johnson, 33, of Orange Street, St. Andrew’s, Jamaica, admitted to possessing a forged United States of America Passport and a Florida state driver’s licence in the name Carlyle Lauriston on July 29.
On the same date he admitted to possessing five fake $100 U.S. currency notes.
On each count Magistrate Sylvester ordered that he pay a fine of $1,500 or face six month jail time.

Unlawful sex
Kenneth Gordon, 20, of Cowpen Road appeared before Magistrate Marilyn Meeres accused of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Police say the accused engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with a female aged 12 years on July 29.
He was not required to plead to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $10,000. The case continues September 29.
Sergeant Daxon prosecuted.
Possession with intent to supply
Appearing in the drug court was Adrian Beckles, 29, of Hay Street accused of possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply.
Police say the accused possessed a pound and a half of marijuana on July 29 with the intent to supply.
Beckles pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $10,000. He also has to report to Central Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday before 6 p.m.
The matter was adjourned to Feb. 15, 2006.
Alton John Davis of Johnson Road appeared in the same court before Magistrate Carolita Bethel accused of possession of dangerous drugs and possession with intent to supply.
Davis admitted that he possessed four grams of marijuana and intended to supply five grams of cocaine on August 1.
On count one he was sentenced to serve six months in jail and one year on count two.
Possession of drugs
Possession of dangerous drugs was the charge on which Omar Laroone Bain, 26, of Flamingo Gardens appeared.
Bain admitted to possessing an ounce of marijuana on July 28. Magistrate Bethel ordered him to pay a fine of $1,000 or in default spend six months in jail.
Sergeant Barry Miler prosecuted.
