Time To End US Blockade Against Cuba?

Once again, Cuba in appealing to the United Nations General Assembly to condemn the embargo/blockade imposed by the United States.

Another vote by the UNGA on this matter will take place on October 26, 2010.

Frankly, many people believe the embargo is stupid, injust and past it’s time.

The United States does business, lots of business, with communist and socialist countries, plus several dictatorships.

They do business with all sorts of corrupt little banana republics in the Caribbean and Africa, along with mafia-controled countries in Eastern Europe.

The United States has commercial relations with at least 25 countries that do anything and everything they accuse Cuba of doing wrong.

And the U.S. has long lost their moral authority in terms of human rights.

So, it appears to be some kind of a grudge thing, between certain families in Washington and Miami, against the Castros and the elite in Cuba.  A Hatfield-McCoy kind of fued, that is really no longer relevant to the rest of the world.  As evidenced by the fact that nearly every country in the United Nations frowns upon the embargo, except the U.S., Israel and the Marshall Islands.
