Three Armed Robberies in 24 Hour Period

Two women and a store were robbed at gunpoint within a 24 hour period.

Police report that around 1:30am on Sunday an armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of Cedric’s Kitchen On Peach Street.

Two females were in the parking lot of Cedric’s Kitchen when they were approached by two males – one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun said Chrislyn Skippings, Police Press Liaison Officer.

The suspects robbed one of the victims of her handbag, which contained an undetermined amount of cash, before fleeing the area in a white Honda Accord.

Just 12 hours earlier, police received a report of an armed robbery at Bargain Depot, on Wulff Road and Quintine Alley where two armed gunmen entered the store and demanded cash.

The men robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction.

Earlier that morning police received reports of an armed robbery at the Junction of Wulff Road and Collins Avenue.

Around 8:20am a woman walking in the area was approached by a man armed with a handgun who demanded cash. Skippings said the gunman robbed the woman of her handbag which contained an undetermined amount of cash and personal effects. He fled the area on foot, north on Collins Avenue, said Skippings.

No arrests have been made but police say their investigations continue.
