It all happened in about 90 seconds. That’s how long it took three armed men, one carrying an AK-47 assault rifle, to rob the Cost Right store at Town Center mall.
The brazen robbery took place at around 6:20pm Saturday evening.
The armed thugs tied up a female security guard before robbing cashiers of about $1,000 and escaping on motorbikes.
The robbers fled apparently into Yellow Elders, near the Mall.
Gavin Watchorn, president and chief executive of AML Foods, owners of Cost Right, praised the security officer for keeping her cool as she was taken at gun point into the store.
The men were only able to get $1,000 due to security procedures in the store to minimize the amount of cash that is kept at the registers.
