Grand Bahama Food And Cultural Festival In June

FREEPORT – As part of the ongoing efforts to revitalise the downtown area, the Grand Bahama Port Authority has announced plans for a Downtown International Food and Cultural Festival to be held in June.

Nakira Wilchcombe, festival committee chairman, said the event is slated for June 17 and 18, and will feature various cuisine, culture, arts, and entertainment.

Ms Wilchcombe said the festival will start with an opening ceremony, a motorcade and parade of flags at downtown Freeport on June 17.

Betty Bethel, general manager of business development at the Ministry of Tourism in Freeport, believes the festival will enhance visitor experience on Grand Bahama.
