Everyone on board a fishing vessel that was reported to have exploded at sea are alive and well, family sources told The Tribune last night.
Initial police reports indicated that a Bahamian vessel on a fishing expedition near Ragged Island blew up around 10.15pm on Monday. However, according to relatives, the men are all fine.
Ivan Ferguson, administrator of Exuma, told The Tribune he first heard the reports at about 2am yesterday, and was told a 60ft vessel with an unknown number of persons onboard exploded about 16 miles north of Buena Vista Cay.
