Words of Truth Album CoverReggae artiste Peter Runks has released a new album entitled “Words of Truth”. Runks, known for positive music and for addressing what we experience in life and society around us, has crafted a compilation of strong songs and messages every music lover will enjoy.

“Words of Truth” was produced in the Bahamas and is released on Mr Runks’ own label “Divine Vessel Music”. Two of the album’s songs were produced by renowned German reggae producers, Pow Pow (“Why Should I”) and Irie Vibration (“Mamma I Love You”). Jamaican reggae artiste Mikey General was also involved in the collaboration “Harden Not Your Heart” and fellow Bahamian artiste Landlord is featured on the track “Run Dem Outta Town”

Mr Runks, a devout Christian, has made a major impact with the single “Badness Outta Style”, which turned into a street anthem after it’s initial release. The lyrics and riddim are inescapable so the single is also included on the new album.

About Peter Runks

Tawanto Saunders A.K.A “Peter Runks” was born on November 12th 1977 in Nassau, Bahamas. Growing up in one of Nassau’s inner city communities he faced struggles and a lot of pressure until deciding to receive Christ as his Lord and Savior in February of 1995.

With this new found spiritual background, Runks pursued his talent for singing and recorded his first album entitled “Divine Vessel” in September of 1998, with Bahamian producer Dillon McKenzie at Commonwealth Recording Studio in Nassau, Bahamas. This endeavour led to an American state to state tour with L.G.Wise and D.C.P in the year 2000.

After numerous collaborations with various artistes in the industry, Peter Runks made a musical pilgrimage to the birthplace of reggae music – “Jamaica” to record the first set of singles for his sophomore album entitled “Let Loose The Prophets”. While in Jamaica he recorded at Anchor Recording Studio with producer Rudy Valentino and also worked with noted producer and sax player Dean Fraser.

In 2002, Mr Runks took a break from the music and met Tamara Darling whom he later married. This union brought forth 3 beautiful children Tawanto Jr. Taeja Saunders, and Taniya Saunders.

In 2007, Peter Runks re-invented himself and made an amazing comeback. He recorded his debut single “Save Your Soul” on the “Copy Cat” riddim produced by Ray Armbrister for Buff Boo Records.

In July of 2008, Runks recorded his second single titled “Badness Outta Stlye” on the “Promise” riddim also produced by Ray Armbrister for Buff Boo Records. This time, Peter Runks scored a major hit. In only two weeks time, “Badness Outta Style” was placed in rotation on all the major radio stations in the Bahamas as well as several internationally. Earning rave reviews the song also became somewhat of a street anthem and has gained Mr Runks his overdue respect in the reggae music industry.
