Shermans’ neighbors remember seeing the suspect’s car, a silver Honda, on and off throughout the day on Friday, parked in different positions, as if laying in wait for Mr Sherman to arrive home.

When the banker pulled up to his house, with his niece at around 8:00pm, he was confronted by an armed man who shot him point blank in the head.  The neice was not harmed.

To make the incident appear like a robbery the gunman took Mr Sherman’s cellphone, which was later used to track down the shooter who was stupid enough to use the phone after he murdered Sherman.

The 21-year-old suspect, who was was taken into custody Sunday evening, told police that Mr Sherman’s wife was involved in the planning of the murder.

Police also issued wanted bulletins for two other men.

According to police sources, just days before his death, Sherman warned family members that he had begun to feel unsafe around his wife. He told family me mbers that if anything happened to him, they should look at his wife.
