Eli Martinez was swimming off the coast of the Bahamas when a lemon shark started making its way towards him.
But the usually ferocious fish turned away at the last minute, leaving a fin outstretched for a friendly greeting.
Eli, who is the editor of Shark Diving magazine, said: “It was beautiful being on the seabed with all these majestic sharks.
“I’ve been on many shark dives, so wasn’t fazed at all by the presence of them.
