Two different banks, one on New Providence and another on Long Island, were robbed by armed men in the morning last week.
At about 11:00am, two men armed with handguns robbed First Caribbean bank at the Mall at Marathon, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers responding to the robbery were able to apprehend one of the suspects along with a “substantial amount of money.”
At about 10:30am in Long Island, two men armed with shotguns robbed ScotiaBank in Stella Maris, also escaping with an undetermined amount of cash.
Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade has appealed to family members and friends of criminals, to turn them in to police.
