Miss Grand Bahama Kristie Farah generously gave her scholarship to another contestant during a presentation at the office of Rengin Johnson.
Farah explained she was unable to use the coveted scholarship and decided to pass it on to someone who would be able to utilize it.
The scholarship was given to the pageant by Terreve College.
Farah explained she wants to be a dentist and is presently working with a dental practice, and with her present schedule she was unable to use the scholarship at this time.
She presented the scholarship to Gabrielle Wong who was one of the five finalists in the Miss Grand Bahama pageant this year.
Wong was very appreciative of the gift which she will be using to study business management.
Organizer of Miss Grand Bahama Glenn Davis said that this is the second time a Miss Grand Bahama has given up her scholarship noting that that first was a few years ago by Kerel Pinder.
