Civil Aviation Holds Airspace Management Programme

NASSAU, The Bahamas — Jeppesen Airspace and Airport Services specialist Robert Withers, Sr., conducts a service management training session on “Airspace Management and Safeguarding Programme”, at the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), on October 23, 2012.

The training, implemented by CAD, introduces important stakeholders to the Programme, which will support the preservation of Bahamian airspace and help to protect the future expansion and growth of the Lynden Pindling International Airport.

According to CAD, preservation of the navigable airspace for aviation shall be the primary emphasis of the Programme; but a “sincere effort” shall be made to negotiate equitable solutions to conflicts over the use of the airspace for non-aviation purposes.
