John Bull Armed Robbery Case Set For Retrial

The John Bull Rolex robbery case will be back in Supreme Court on March 10, 2014 for a retrial before Justice Bernard Turner.

A Tribune article reported: Senior Justice Jon Isaacs ruled that David Collins be retried for armed robbery even though, as his attorney Geoffrey Farquharson argued, he has already been convicted of receiving.

Collins, 33, was charged with armed robbery and receiving and Jonathan Armbrister, 35, was charged with receiving. Both men pleaded not guilty.

Twelve 12 watches totalling a worth of $395,360 were stolen from John Bull last May.

Jurors found Armbrister guilty by a count of 7-2, while they were split 6-3 on Collins.

Collins was sentenced to 20 years for conspiracy and Armbrister received 25 years, The Tribune reported.
