As The Bahamian Project wraps up its latest series of portraits, photographer Duke Wells tells The Tribune’s Cara Hunt about documenting the faces of the Bahamas and the need for a national portrait gallery.

Veteran photographer Duke Wells feels the portraits he takes for the Bahamian Project are more than just “nice pictures”; they are images that will help preserve the heart and soul of the people of this country for generations to come.
