Two Grand Bahama Teens Raped

Two teenage girls were raped during the early morning hours of August 5 as they walked along a track road near East Atlantic Drive in Freeport. Two masked men armed with knives assaulted the girls from behind, forcing them into a building where they raped both of them.

One of the girls was able to escape and reported the incident to the Freeport police who then went to the location where they found the second girl. Both girls were taken to the hospital.

Police are now appealing to the public for assistance in their investigation of this crime. One of the rapists is of light complexion and the other is dark-skinned. Press liaison officer ASP Loretta Mackey is asking anyone with information to come forward or call 350-3107/8 or 352-9774/5 or 911.
