Police received a report around 2:30am Saturday that gunshots wree heard at the Recession Bar in Alice Town, Bimini.
Information is sketchy, but apparently a gangster flew to Bimini from Nassau and opened fire on a group of people attending a birthday celebration at the bar. Two men were shot.
Both victims were taken to the local clinic then later airlifted to Nassau where they were detained in stable condition.
Upon further investigation, police found a bullet-riddled body in a bushy area in Alice Town.
Residents say that an angry vigilante mob chased the gunman after the bar brawl and cornered him behind the bar on the beach.
Police have not revealed a motive for the shootings or officially connected the two incidents but investigations continue.
