Teen Acquitted In Stabbing Murder

A jury yesterday unanimously acquitted a male teenager of murder.

Marvin St. Jules, 18, was tried for the 2008 murder of Joel Simeus during a fight in the parking lot of Solomon’s Supercenter.

St. Jules claimed he acted in self-defense. He said Simeus and other men came to Solomon’s to rob him and other packing boys.

Simeus was stabbed in the neck during the incident.

Supreme Court Justice Vera Watkins presided over the case.

Linda Evans and Basil Cumberbatch were the prosecutors. Alfred Gray represented the accused.
