Vandals Strike Again at Catholic High in Grand Bahama

Grand Bahama Catholic High School was the recent target of burglars who broke into the school early Monday morning.

According to principal Daisy McPhee, vandals struck the school and completely ransacked six of the classrooms and attempted to gain access to the guidance councillor’s office.

McPhee said that she received a call from the alarm company shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Monday alerting her that the alarm had gone off at the school and there was a break-in.

She noted that the burglars gained access to the art and technical drawing room where they stole several tools that could probably assist them in doing damage to other schools.

When she arrived at the school in the early morning hours, McPhee said that she only noticed the damage to one room.

It wasn’t until school had started that the full extent of the vandals’ destruction was realized.
