A 40-year-old woman was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting as she stood outside her home at about 7:30pm last night. Her 10-year-old son was also injured in the shooting.
The mother was pronounced dead at the scene and the child was taken to hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
The woman had been standing in front of her home, on Step Street in the Fox Hill area, talking with a group of friends when a car pulled up and two men started firing into the crowd.
Few other details have been released as police are still investigating the murder.
