LOVE FEST 2011 – SCOTIABANK SPREADS MESSAGE OF HOPE: Spreading a message of hope and love to the youth of the Simpson Penn and Willie Mae Pratt Centres, Scotiabank Bahamas recently partnered with a cadre of talented local artists to host Love Fest 2011. In the spirit of love, gifted Bahamian artists gave of their time and talents to entertain and motivate the young men and women housed at those facilities.
Scotiabank’s Senior Manager of Marketing & PR, Leah R. Davis, explained, “In keeping with our Bright Future mandate of working together to make a difference, Team Scotia joined hands with the community to create this outreach event providing motivating and memorable entertainment for these special young people. We were overwhelmed with the artists’ support and wish to publicly thank them for their generous contribution of time and talent.” Scotiabankers also volunteered to spend time in fellowship with the young people at The Simpson Penn and Willie Mae Pratt Centers.
Participating artists included Willis and the Illest Reggae Band, Ronnie Butler, TaDa, Sailorman Smith, Sammi Starr, IRate, Savage Bull, Ricardo Forbes, Major Boy Dunna and Thought Katcher Enterprises. The event was hosted by 100 Jamz’ C-Note and Big Doobs and culminated with a Junkanoo rush out by Colour Entertainment.
