The Cat Island Sailing Club will hold its annual boat ride on Saturday, June 25th 2011 on board the SeaLink. The boat will leave the western end of Potter’s Cay Dock at 7:30pm. Entertainment will be provided by Lassie Doh Boys and DJ Gold Digger. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased from club members.
The boat ride is one of the many events the club holds to raise funds to assist with the development and advancement of Cat Island. Proceeds raised go towards scholarships for young persons in Cat Island for a joint project between the Cat Island Sailing Club, the Cat Island Association Grand Bahama and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute.
The Cat Island Sailing Club was founded over 50 years ago by Godfrey Kelly and hosts the annual regatta in New Bight Cat Island. Today, the club is headed by President Maxwell Burrows.
