A seven-year-old Bahamian boy drowned in Ft. Lauderdale while at the beach Monday, authorities confirmed.
Carrington Clarke’s aunt, Theresa Adderley-Butler, said his father was inconsolable Monday night when he got the news of his son’s death.
Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Public Information Officer Dani Moschella told The Nassau Guardian yesterday that exhaustion might have led to Carrington’s death.
She said he was swimming toward a sandbar 50 feet from shore along with three other children when he disappeared below the waves.
