Mosquito Problem Increases In Eleuthera

(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – For several days now a big problem with mosquitos has arisen on Eleuthera. The island is no stranger to these biting pests during early evenings in summer but it has  become much more problematic since the passage of Hurricane Irene.

Environmental Health officials in Governor’s Harbour, have said they are aware of the large numbers that have appeared and are implementing a fogging campaign to try and alleviate the  problem.  The large mosquitos are out in the bright sunlight and even more at night, with some respite only thanks to the mosquito repellents.
