New CEO At Bahamas Petroleum

Simon Potter will become chief executive of Bahamas Petroleum with effect from October 17, the firm said today, as it unveiled further board changes.

The AIM-quoted company said founder and chairman Alan Burns will step down as chairman and director with effect from September 30 this year.

This is to ensure he can devote himself to his continuing recovery from illness, said the firm.

In recognition of Burn’s importance to the oil and gas business, he has been invited to become Bahamas Petroleum’s president.
