Craig Butler to Run in Bamboo Town

Craig Butler

Attorney Craig ButlerĀ  announces that he will be running in the Bamboo Town Constituency in the upcoming general election.

As the country is well aware, the House of Assembly has voted to eliminate several constituencies, among them, Kennedy

Mr. Butler, who has spent the past 16 months campaigning in Kennedy, was disheartened to learn that the constituency he had hoped to represent for the next five years had been cut. Due to boundary cuts, several of Kennedy’s polling divisions now sit in the Bamboo Town constituency.

“I was really looking forward to representing Kennedy. There are so many issues that the constituents face and problems that needed to be addressed. As an independent candidate I’ve demonstrated that I’m prepared to address some of the everyday problems of joblessness, community parks and garbage disposal,” said Mr. Butler.

“Independent candidates are nothing new we have a long litany in our society. Most recently Tennyson Wells, Pierre Dupuch, Whitney Bastian and least we forget both the Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham and Rt. Hon. Perry Christie in 1987.

Effective representation is determined by the character and desire of the individual.

Mr. Butler will now face off with PLP, FNM and DNA candidates Renward Wells, Cassius Stuart and Branville McCartney respectively. He will continue on as an independent candidate.

Mr. Butler welcomes the fierce competition and looks forward to a safe general election.
