Dogs now can ride the Bahamas Express Ferry that links Fort Lauderdale with Freeport in the Bahamas, the operators say.
The high-speed ferry accepts dogs at least six months old based on documentation of vaccines, especially rabies.
The pets will ride in crates in a covered area on an outside deck, not inside with passengers. The fare for the furry travelers: $80 or $100 each way, depending on weight.
