The badly beaten naked body of a woman was discovered lying face down under a red pick-up truck at Perpall Tract around 7am yesterday. This discovery pushes the murder count to 36 for the year.
Police reported that she had injuries to her upper body and face. There was blood on the passenger side of the red Dodge 1500 truck, which was parked next to an abandoned building.
Details surrounding her murder are sketchy at this time. The woman appears to be in her early twenties and of Haitian-Bahamian descent. Police do not believe she was run over by the truck but instead bludgeoned to death with a blunt object and placed under the vehicle.
It did not appear she had been shot or stabbed and police are also unsure if she was sexually assaulted.
