Trez Hepburn Dies At 48

Trez Hepburn

Well-loved Bahamian entertainer, Therese T’rez Hepburn, suffered a massive stroke nearly two months ago and died at Doctors Hospital on Friday at the age of 48.

Over the weekend, those who knew her best described her as a woman of wit, laughter and dedication.

There was also an outpouring of love for her on social networking sites like Facebook. Hepburn was a dancer, model, actor and musician.

Her mother and other close family members were at her bedside when she passed, The Nassau Guardian understands.

The singer was best known for hits such as Mr Bus Driver, and she performed at venues across the Bahamas.

“[She was] a person who was an entertainer among entertainers,” said Bahamian entertainer Kirkland ‘KB’ Bodie yesterday.

Bodie and Hepburn worked together for almost 13 years.

Hepburn spent most of her life on the stage, but it wasn’t until meeting up with Bodie in late 1999 that she began her music career.

“But T’rez is a very funny person, very friendly and very cool, plus she and I have been through the ropes.” Bodie said he will remember “T’rez as T’rez is”.

Fred Ferguson, musician/producer said he first met Hepburn during the 80s when she was still modeling. “I had lost touch with her and then she emerged as a singer and we reconnected,” he said.
