Temple Christian Students Pay Tribute To Teachers

Under the theme: “Teachers Wear Many Hats” Temple Christian Preschool and Elementary School students paid tribute to their teachers in a special assembly held for Teachers’ Appreciation Week.

The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Jerome Fitzgerald brought remarks at the celebration on Friday 3rd May, 2013. Reverend David Cash, Associate Pastor of Evangelistic Temple was the guest speaker. Students participated in the programme performing recitations, skits, songs and dance selections.

Minister Fitzgerald congratulated the forty Teachers and Teachers’ Aides who were being honoured for their dedicated service to Temple Christian Schools. He encouraged the teachers to continue to be role models, nation builders and facilitators for our students. The Minister commended the leaders of the institution for helping to produce a cadre of fine scholars over the years.

Pastor Cash used the letters in the word teachers to itemize the various roles that educators play throughout the day. He described them as Time Keepers, Engineers, Accountants, Computer Experts, Handwriting Experts, Entertainers, Referees and Storytellers. Pastor Cash encouraged the teachers to accept the accolades that were being offered to them and to continue to be good examples to their students.

Also in attendance at the special assembly were Rev. Dr. Vaughn Cash, Senior Pastor of Evangelistic Temple; Rev. Bradick Cleare, Associate Pastor of Evangelistic Temple and Dr. Celestine Williams, Administrator of Temple Christian Schools.
