Silver Airways Expands Service, Offers Deals

Silver Airways is providing more travel destination options to its Florida customers with the addition of exciting new international destinations and enhanced domestic air travel options beginning November 21, 2013. The carrier will launch new nonstop service from West Palm Beach to North Eleuthera and Freeport in The Bahamas, two nonstop flights each weekday between Orlando and Tallahassee, and two nonstop flights each weekday between West Palm Beach and Orlando that will give business and leisure travelers the only nonstop service between West Palm Beach and Orlando. (New flight schedules and fare sales listed below.) The new destinations will also provide timely and seamless connections aboard Silver Airways to codeshare partner United Airlines flights to Chicago (O’Hare), Houston (Bush-Intercontinental), Washington, DC (Dulles), Newark and Denver.

To celebrate the launch of these new routes, Silver Airways is offering one-way sale fares starting as low as $69* that will be available through 11:59pm EDT on September 9, 2013 at www.silverairways.com.

“This latest expansion in our operations is all about better serving the broader needs of our customers here in Florida,” said David H. Pflieger, Jr., President and CEO of Silver Airways. “Within the state, we’re improving connectivity from north to south and extending our reach to The Bahamas. At the same time, we’re better aligning our service to sync most efficiently with United Airline’s global reach so Silver Airways customers can reap the full benefits of our codeshare partnership.”

Silver Airways will deploy Saab 340Bplus aircraft on its new routes.  Silver operates the largest fleet of 34-seat Saab 340Bplus aircraft in North America. One of the most advanced turboprops operating today – burning 60% less fuel per hour than a 70-seat regional jet – each Silver Airways Saab aircraft is outfitted with plush leather seating, ample legroom, large and easily accessible overhead bins, personalized flight attendant service, on-board lavatories, and an active noise reduction system.

Improved Intra-Florida Connectivity

The new West Palm Beach and Tallahassee flights will create a number of schedule enhancements highlighted by the advent of new weekday one-stop service between both Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to Tallahassee and between Fort Lauderdale and Pensacola via Orlando and Tampa. Adjusted flight times also create new connections for customers traveling between Fort Lauderdale and Macon, Georgia via Orlando.

Enhanced United Codeshare Connections

Silver Airways’ codeshare partnership with United Airlines offers the ease and convenience of seamless booking, ticketing, and baggage handling on flights from West Palm Beach, connecting in Orlando, to Chicago, Houston, and Washington, DC. New Silver Airways flights from Tallahassee connecting in Orlando will carry the same codeshare benefits on service to Denver, Houston, and Newark. Members of United’s MileagePlus® customer loyalty program can also earn and redeem frequent flyer awards for travel throughout the entire Silver Airways network in addition to connecting flights on United.
