Slain Banker’s Murder Trial Adjourned

It will be another few days before testimony in the murder trial of the two men accused of killing a banker continues.

The case was adjourned yesterday due to legal arguments.

Pinewood Gardens residents, Cordero Bethel and Janaldo Farrington are accused of the February 17, 2012 shooting death of banker, Stephen Sherman.

The men are also being tried for conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery while Sherman’s wife, Renee Sherman is on trial for conspiracy to commit murder and abetment to murder.

According to police, Sherman, an assistant manager at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), was shot in the head shortly after pulling up to his Yamacraw Shores home.

He was robbed of his cell phone before being shot.
