There may be sight of an economic turnaround, but the need to give continues. Once again, JCI Accredited Doctors Hospital, the leading health care provider takes charge in recognizing the need and pledges its commitment to the Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation and their research programs.

Can you imagine being motionless, unable to move various parts of the body as you desire? Well, Parkinson’s disease is just that, a nervous system disorder that gradually results in slow movement to complete stiffness. As the disease progresses throughout the brain, the more it interferes with daily activities.

It is important to pay attention to the symptoms that can range from tremor to rigid muscles to slow movement. Research indicates that there is no cure in sight and the cause of the disease still remains a mystery, however medicine is available to treat the disease as well as a lifestyle change, exercise, surgery and therapy.

How can you help? You can lend your support for the Parkinson’s Foundation by joining the fun run walk on Saturday, April 2 at 6:00am at Montague Beach. Also, attend the Kingdor Parkinson’s Foundation Annual Ball at Sheraton Hotel, Cable Beach Resort, Saturday May 7, 2011 at 7:00pm.
