Notice of Temporary Road Closure and Diversions

Robinson Road between EAST STREET and SIXTH STREET
The Ministry of Public Works & Transport wishes to advise that as of Monday March 28, 2011 temporary road closure and diversions will be carried out on sections of Robinson Road between EAST STREET and SIXTH STREET.

Motorists are advised that access is granted through PODOLEO STREET to CHARLES VINCENT STREET as the works progresses towards Sixth Street.  The works to be carried out in this phase of works will include:

– Removal of existing asphalt pavement

– Installation of new drainage facilities

– Installation of new and upgrade existing utility services

– Concrete sidewalks

– Improved street lighting

– Asphalt pavement

– Road marking and proper signage

Motorists travelling along this route in the following directions should use the following as alternate routes.  Eastbound

Westbound
Access will be given to residents, pedestrians and the affected businesses in this area during the construction process. Signs will be erected to identify safe passage for pedestrians and access points to the businesses in the area from the diversion route on Balfour Avenue. The public will be updated through the local media (radio & television).

BAILLOU HILL ROAD, WULFF ROAD and CHAPEL STREET
The Ministry of Public Works & Transport wishes to advise the motoring public that  temporary road closure & diversions will be carried out on sections of Baillou Hill Road and further road construction works will take place between WULFF ROAD and CHAPEL STREET from Monday March 28, 2011.

Motorists are advised works to be carried out during these phases of construction will include milling of existing pavement, installation of drainage, utility services, traffic signs, asphalt paving and sidewalks.

While works are ongoing motorist should use MARKET STREET as an alternate route and observe the traffic management in place.  TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Please note that access will be given to residents, pedestrians and the affected businesses in this area during the construction process. Signs will be in place to identify safe passage for pedestrians and access points to the businesses in the area from the diversion route. The public will be updated through the local media (radio and television).
