Eleuthera Tour Company Stuck In Red Tape

(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – In business since November of 2008, Eleuthera Adventure Tours, a local tour company owned by the principals of Rock Sound Properties (1976) Limited, has not only grown each year, but has received glowing reviews about the quality of the experience that they offer to cruise passengers visiting South Eleuthera.

In a recent interview, on Wednesday, November 16, with proprietor of Eleuthera Adventure Tours, Mr. Thomas Sands, and his Tour Manager, Ms. Monique Smith, Sands revealed that the budding business had surprisingly been experiencing an unexplainable stifling series of frustrations with governmental red tape in the case of their tour franchise license application.

He explained that after having gone through all the proper channels of application and follow-up, the company, after three years of being in operation, was still functioning under short term interim license permissions, with no formal response from the relevant Road Traffic agency on the status of their tour franchise license application.  The most recent interim license for the current 6 month tour season was, according to Sands, granted by the Road Traffic Department Controller for a term of 3 months only, meaning that mid-season, they would once again have to apply for an extension of their temporary license.
