Nassau, The Bahamas – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport advises the public of the following:
Well drilling works will be carried out on sections of East Street from March 7th to 10th 2012.
Stage 1- March 7th & 8th -Robinson Road to Independence Drive (round-about)
- Motorists travelling north should continue on East Street.
- Motorists travelling south should use Robinson Road, Baillou Hill Road and Independence Drive.
Stage 2- March 9th & 10th- Pentecostal Way to Soldier Road
- Motorists travelling north should continue on East Street.
- Motorists travelling south should use Pentecostal Way and cross Soldier Road. Follow the diversion signs and continue on to East Street.
Well drilling works will also be carried out on sections of Abundant Life and Soldier Road from Tuesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 15th, 2012.
March 13th – ABUNDANT LIFE ROAD (North and Southbound)
- Motorists are advised to use CHURCHILL DRIVE as an alternate.
March 15th – SOLDIER ROAD (East and Westbound)
- Motorists should follow the diversion signs and use:
SUMMER HAVEN ROAD, HAVEN SUBDIVISION and continue on SOLDIER ROAD
Signs will be in place to identify safe passage for pedestrians and access points to the businesses in the area from the diversion route.
