This was a hard fought race. We set out to not just win an election but to advocate a set of principles and ideals. And though we fell short on the final vote count, those ideals and principles continue to endure.
We thank everyone who worked so tirelessly on behalf of the FNM team.
We would also extend our congratulations to the new government. And as they celebrate a hard fought victory, we would remind them that with power comes responsibility; and with responsibility, accountability.
We pledge to work with the new government for the betterment of the Bahamas, and ensure that this new government remains accountable to the mission of working for the Bahamian people.
So, be not discouraged. This is not the end; it is the beginning of a new path in our journey of ideals.
We will continue to carry the banner for a better Bahamas. We will continue to advocate for a safer, more prosperous Bahamas that offers everyone the opportunity for a better life.
We will continue to carry the Torch and trust you will join us.
