Even Pigeons Know It’s Better in The Bahamas

Henry in the Bahamas

Racing pigeon enthusiast Fred Lock is hoping to be reunited as soon as possible with his prized bird after it went missing – and turned up in the Bahamas.

Henry went missing from his coop in Leeds after Fred released him in France in May for a race.

Fred thought he’d lost him for good until he got a call all the way from the Bahamas to say Henry had been discovered alive and well, apparently enjoying a “holiday.”

The pigeon was identified by Kate Barley, from Grimsby, who’s now living in the Bahamas, from a wing ring with his Leeds telephone number.

Since the phone call, Fred has been kept up-to-date with his progress with emails and pictures and could be reunited with him this September.
