Three Junkanoo Groups Get Seed Money

Three Junkanoo Groups — Fancy Dancers, Colours, and the Music Makers — became beneficiaries of seed money December 6, a gift from Bill Simmons Heavy Trucking and Construction Company.

The donations were made under the auspices of the Farm Road Urban Renewal Centre and were given to Junkanoo groups that participated in the 28th Annual Joe Billy/ Blind Blake Festival, and to encourage young people in Farm Road, Centreville, Bain & Grants Town, and the surrounding communities  to participate in the upcoming Christmas cultural events. The presentations were made at the Farm Road Constituency Headquarters on Montrose Avenue.
