Three Tied Up In Armed Home Invasion

Three people were tied up in their Millennium Gardens home early Tuesday morning and robbed of thousands of dollars worth of electronics and other goods, police said.

Two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, broke into the Florence Nixon Crescent home around 3:30 a.m., police reported.

The men reportedly stole a 42” flat screen television, a DVD player, a surround sound system, an assortment of jewelry and a BlackBerry cell phone, after they restrained the occupants of the home.

Police said one of the men was masked while the other wore a hooded jacket.

The victims, who were not identified, were able to free themselves and call for police assistance after the culprits escaped.

Police said investigators have limited details about the thieves and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this incident to contact police at 911, 919 or Crimestoppers at 328-TIPS.

Additionally, police are also encouraging people to refrain from purchasing goods that they suspect to be the proceeds of criminal activities.
