Keep The Bahamas Beautiful

Lifestyle

The Bahama Islands are surrounded by some of the bluest, clearest water some have ever seen. These waters provide homes to fish, dolphins, whales, sharks, coral and so much more.

There are also, however, millions of macro and micro pieces of plastic and dozens of pounds of trash in those waters. Even though the oceans and seas surrounding us may look beautiful, they are slowly dying while we hold the smoking gun.

It’s apparent that our islands have been overrun by one of the most invasive species on the planet, human beings. Are the islands in better or worse condition since we got here?

We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place. The warm subtropical climate and postcard-worthy beachscapes are reminders of why they say it’s better in the Bahamas.

Being residents of paradise comes with the responsibility of keeping it beautiful. There are easy and free ways we can contribute to the conservation of the Bahama Islands. You may already be doing some of these things, but we can always do more to keep the Bahamas beautiful.
