Public Advisory: Sea Surges, Flooding

NASSAU, The Bahamas – Residents in the Southern District of New Providence are being advised to proceed with caution along Marshall Road, due to sea surge causing water to come ashore.

According to the Bahamas Department of Meteorology, four inches of rain is expected to fall in that area, resulting in the sea surges.

Residents are further advised that once inside their homes, to remain indoors or avoid that area if possible, until further notice.

Meanwhile, residents in Grand Bahamas are advised to approach with caution or avoid the Fishing Hole Road, which has experienced flooding due to the heavy rainfall.

Also, residents in North Eleuthera are asked to take the necessary precaution as they drive over the Glass Window Bridge or avoid that area, due to the strong winds and sea surges.
